OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS SETTING
FORTH THE INTENT AND AGREEMENT OF THE
CITY OF FORT COLLINS TO PROVIDE
WATER AND SANITARY SEWER UTILITY SERVICE
TO ALL AREAS WITHIN THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins operates for its citizens
a water and sanitary sewer utility system providina water and
sanitary services to properties within the City, and
WHEREAS, the boundaries of the City have in the past and
will continue to expand because of annexation of new territory
to the City which is being developed for urban uses, and
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins has expanded its water
and sanitary sewer utility system into all areas which are annexed
to the city and will continue to expand its utility system so as
to provide service to all property incorporated within the City
Limits, and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to express its intention
and agreement to provide such service to all areas within the
City.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Council of the City
of Fort Collins that the City Council hereby expresses its in-
tent and agreement for the City to provide water and sanitary
sewer utility service to all areas within the City limits,
including the areas that may be within any special district which
also provides such water and/or sanitary sewer utility service.
Such utility service shall be provided and available to
all property owners within one year from the date of this Resolu-
tion, or from the date of annexation of territory to the City
in the case of territory annexed after this date All such
service shall be provided and available subject to any requirements
now or hereafter adopted by ordinance of the City relating to
payment of fees and charges required for connection to the City
utility systems or extension of mains and service lines for such
utility service
Passed and adopted at a Special meetin of the City Council
held this 30th day of January, 1979.
