OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
BEING A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE CITY AND THE COLORADO WATER
CONSERVATION BOARD OF THE STATE OF COLORADO
PROVIDING FOR THE PAYMENT BY THE COLORADO
WATER CONSERVATION BOARD TO THE CITY OF
FORT COLLINS OF $13,000 FOR USE BY THE CITY
IN DEVELOPING A FLOOD PLAIN AND DRAINAGE
STUDY OF THE DRY CREEK AREA
WHEREAS, one of the purposes of the Colorado Water Conservation
Board is to assist local governments in identification of flood
hazard areas, and
WHEREAS, money has been appropriated to the Colorado Water
Conservation Board for distribution to local governments for
flood plain studies on a matching basis, and
WHEREAS, the City will contract with Gingery Associates, Inc. ,
Fort Collins, Colorado, to perform the engineering analyses
required for a flood plain and drainage study on a 6 5 mile
stream reach of Dry Creek in Fort Collins beginning at the north
section line of 27, T 8 N, R 69 W, 6 PM and proceeding downstream
to confluence with the Cache La Poudre River; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to accept such financial assistance
from the Colorado Water Conservation Board for the purpose of
the flood plain and drainage study.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF FORT COLLINS that that agreement dated March 15 , 1979 , between
the City of Fort Collins and the Colorado Water Conservation
Board providing for payment by said Board of $13,000 to the City
of Fort Collins for the purpose of a flood plain and drainage
study on a 6 5 mile stream reach of Dry Creek in the City of
Fort Collins be, and the same hereby is, approved and that the
City Manager and the City Clerk be, and they hereby are, authorized
to execute said agreement on behalf of the City of Fort Collins
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of
the City of Fort Collins held this loth day of April, A.D 1979.
