RESOLUTION 79-34
OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
EXPRESSING GRATITUDE AND APPRECIATION OF THE RESIDENTS
OF THE CITY TO JACK E. L RUSSELL FOR HIS SERVICE
TO THE CITY AS COUNCILMAN AND MAYOR
WHEREAS, Jack E L. Russell was appointed Councilman of the City of
Fort Collins to fill a vacancy on April 10, 1973, and
WHEREAS, Jack E L Russell was elected Councilman of the City of
Fort Collins on April 15, 1975, and
WHEREAS, Jack E. L Russell also served as Mayor of the City of Fort
Collins from April 15, 1975, to April 6, 1976, and
WHEREAS, Jack E. L Russell's term of office expired on April 10,
1979, and
WHEREAS, this period of time was a time of great growth and change in
the City, and Jack E L Russell was called upon to devote substantial time
and energy to the affairs of the City, and
WHEREAS, the People of the City of Fort Collins have benefited
greatly from the services, counsel, and guidance of the said Jack E. L.
Russell
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the City express, on behalf of the residents of the community,
its formal and sincere appreciation and gratitude to Jack E. L Russell for
his devotion and attention to the affairs of the City as Mayor and Council-
man during the period of April 10, 1973, to April 10, 1979
Passed and adopted at regular meeting of the City Council held this
17th day of April, A D. 1979
