OF THE COIINCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN AGREFIMFNT
WITH THE COLOPADO SIAIE LIBRARY, OFPARTVNT Of LDUCATIOF',
STATE OF COLORADO
OHEREAS, the public library of the City of Fort Collins has recently
completed a grant provided by the Colorado State Library, Department of
Education, State of Colorado for the purpose of establishing policies and
procedures for the Larimer County Jail Library and the Berthoud Public `
Library, and

WHEREAS, the public library of the City has been awarded a grant from
_ the Colorado State Library, Department of Education, State of Colorado for
trip purpose of providing library services to individuals incarcerated in
`correctional facilities in Larimer County through the integration of the
three (3) Larimer County roirectional libraries, and
WilFREAS, the implementati-)n of this progran by the public library of
fne Cify will not require any additional expenditure by the City, and '
WHEREAS, for the purpose of acc.Eptincl the grant, it is necessary for
the CiL, to enter into an agreerent with the Colorado State Library,
Department of Education, State of Colorado
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RFSOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE Cifl OF FORT
COLLINS that the City Manager and the City Clerk be, and li,reby are,
authorized and dir,2cted to execute an agreement between the City and the
Colorado State Library, DEpa tl,lent of Education, State of Colorado, unde-
the terms of which the City agrers to develop and implement a program to
p-ovide library services to individuals incarcerated in correctional
racilities in Larimer County in exchange for a grant in the amount of
$14,800
