OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITE FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER AND THE CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH THE PLEASANT VALLEY
AND LAKE CANAL COMPANY
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins has acquired and is the owner of
approximately forty percent (40%) of the outstanding shares of stock in the
Pleasant Valley and Lake Canal Company, which stock was acquired by the
City as a source of water supply for the City Water Utility, and
WHEREAS, use of the water represented by said stock will require
that such water be withdrawn from the ditch of the company, and
WHEREAS, the City and the ditch company have negotiated an agreement
permitting withdrawal of such water from the company' s ditch, and
WHEREAS, such proposed agreement has been reviewed and recommended
by the City Water Board and in the opinion of the City Council such an
agreement would be in the best interests of the City
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the City Manager and City Clerk are authorized and directed to
execute an agreement in accordance herewith for and on behalf of the City
` of Fort Collins
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of
Fort Collins held this 4th day of December A D 1979
