HomeMy WebLinkAbout1978-060-08/15/1978-DIRECTING THE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE TO CLOSE OUT CERTAIN ACCOUNTS IN THE SPECIAL ASSESSMENT FUND AND T i RESOLUTION 78-60 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS DIRECTING THE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE TO CLOSE OUT CERTAIN ACCOUNTS IN THE SPECIAL ASSESS- MENT FUND AND TRANSFER THE BALANCE THEREIN TO THE SURPLUS AND DEFICIENCY ACCOUNT OF THE SPECIAL ASSESSMENT FUND WHEREAS, heretofore accounts in the Special Assessment Fund were created for the following improvements districts, to-wit- Sanitary Sewer Improvement District No. 55, Sanitary Sewer Improvement District No. 56, Street Improvement District No. 61, Street Improvement District No. 63, and Consolidated Street Improvement District No. 65; and WHEREAS, all outstanding bonds issued by the City in connection with the improvement districts listed above have been paid and retired, and WHREAS, balances remain in the accounts for the special improvement districts listed above as follows- Name of Improvement District 5/31/78 Account Balance Sanitary Sewer Improvement District No. 55 $1,322.00 Sanitary Sewer Improvement District No. 56 2,224 00 Street Improvement District No. 61 1,450.00 Street Improvement District No. 63 1,839.00 Consolidated Street Improvement District No. 65 6,649.00 and WHEREAS, Section 20 6 (b) of Article 5 of the Charter of the City of Fort Collins provides that when outstanding securities for special improvement districts have been fully paid, any balance on hand to the credit of the district is to be transferred to the Surplus and Deficiency Account. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS: Section 1. The Director of Finance is hereby authorized and directed to close the accounts for the special improvement districts listed above and to transfer all balances on hand in said accounts to the Surplus and Deficiency Account of the Special Assessment Fund and to pay all deficiency in any account from the Surplus and Deficiency Account of the Special Assessment Fund. Section 2. Any amounts received on account of any of such districts in the future shall be paid into the Surplus and Deficiency Account of the Special Assessment Fund.
