OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
RECOMMENDING TO THE BOARD OF COMKISSIONERS
OF LARI ER COUNTY THE ISSUANCE OF REVENUE
BONDS IN CONNECTION WITH A PROPOSED INDUSTRIAL PLANT
TO BE ESTABLISHED BY N C.R. IN THIS AREA
WHEREAS, N.C.R. is considering establishing an industrial plant in
Fort Collins,
WHEREAS, members of the City Council are familiar with the other plants
of N.C.R and the operation proposed for this area, and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the City Council that the establishment
of such a plant here will be in the best interests of the entire Fort Collins
area both inside and outside of the City, and
WHEREAS, N.C.R. has requested that industrial revenue bond financing
be provided to them in connection with the proposed plant location, and
WHEREAS, there is question whether the Charter of the City of Fort
Collins permits such industrial revenue bonds but State law does permit
Counties to utilize the same, and N C.R. has made application to the County
for such financing
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the City of Fort Collins supports the application of N C R. to
Larimer County for industrial revenue bond financing in connection with the
proposed industrial plant to be established here and the City Council recom-
mends that the County act favorably on such request, and that the Mayor be
authorized to appear before the County Commissioners advising them that the
City has preliminarily looked at the availah111ty of utilities and other
pertinent aspects to the plan and that he hand carry this resolution and
be prepared to answer whatever questions necessary and request their parti-
cipation.
