OF THE COUNCIL OF THREFICITY
OF FORT COLLINS RELATING
TO THE HOLDING OF EXECUTIVE
SESSIONS BY THE URBAN
RENEWAL AUTHORITY AND
AUTHORIZING SUCH SESSIONS
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Fort Collins has heretofore
created an Urban Renewal Authority pursuant to State Statute for the
purposes enumerated in said statutes, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to said statutes, the Urban Renewal Authority has
the power to acquire property and to negotiate with developers for a plan
for an urban renewal project, and
WHEREAS, it may also be necessary for the Urban Renewal Authority to
meet with attorneys representing the City or the Urban Renewal Authority
pertaining to legal matters, and
WHEREAS, it may not be in the best interest of the public to discuss
such matters in a public meeting
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the Urban Renewal Authority, by majority vote of its members,
may go into executive session for the purpose of meeting with attorneys
representing the City or the Urban Renewal Authority in an adversary
situation, and consideration of real property acquisitions by the Urban
Renewal Authority
Passed and adopted at regular meeting of the City Council held this
19th day of December, A D 1978
