RESOLUTION 81- 65
OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
MAKING FINDINGS RELATING TO A PETITION FOR AN
ANNEXATION ELECTION FOR PROPERTY KNOWN AS THE
VINE-LAPORTE-TAFT ANNEXATION
WHEREAS, on July 3, 1980 a written petition was filed with the City
Clerk requesting an election to determine whether property should be
annexed to the City of Fort Collins, said property situate in the County of
Larimer and State of Colorado, and more particularly described as follows
A tract of land situate in the Northeast Quarter of
Section 9, Township 7 North, Range 69 West of the Sixth
P M , Larimer County, Colorado, which, considering the
South line of said Northeast Quarter as bearing North
89039'15" West and with all bearings contained herein
relative thereto, is contained within the boundary
lines which begin at point which bears North 00010'30"
East 380 65 feet from the East Quarter corner of said
Section 9 and runs thence North 89*38' Jest 629 22
feet, thence South 07*00' East 57 25 feet, thence South
21*46' East 29 26 feet, thence North 89039115" West
382 07 feet, tnerce Soutn CCO20'45" West 267 00 feet,
thence North 89039' 15" West 622 00 feet, thence South
00020'45" West 30 00 feet, thence North 89039'15" West
755 03 feet, thence North 00009'15" West 294 90 feet,
thence North 89*39115" West 240 00 feet, thence North
00°09'15" West 365 72 feet, thence South 89°39'45" East
1 ,306 20 feet, thence along the East line of Green

Northeast Quarter, thence along said East line South

and comprising 69 6098 acres, more or less,
and
WHEREAS, the Council is required by law to make certain findings
relative to said petition
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS AS FOLLOWS
Section 1 That the City Council finds and determines that the
petition for annexation election was filed pursuant to Section 31-12-107,
Colorado Revised Statutes, 1973, as amended, and further was filed at least
ten (10) days prior to the hearing date set for the annexation petition for
the Vine-LaPorte-Taft Annexation and therefore said election petition, in
accordance with Section 31-12-107(3) , Colorado Revised Statutes, 1973, as
amended, shall take precedence over said annexation petition
Section 2 That the City Council finds and determines that said
annexation election petition contains signatures of at least ten percent
(10%) of the qualified electors of the area proposed to be annexed and
further finds and determines that said election petition is in all other
respects in substantial compliance with Section 31-12-107, Colorado Revised
Statutes, 1973, as amended
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of
Fort Collins held this 21st day of A P r 1 , 1981
