RESOLUTION 81-69
OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO
AN AGREEMENT WITH BLACK & VEATCH FOR THE
PROVISION OF ENGINEERING SERVICES NOT TO
EXCEED $150,000 00
WHEREAS, the 1981 Water Fund Budget contains One Hundred Fifty Thou-
sand ($150,000 00) to cover the costs of the provision of engineering
services for evaluating and recommending improvements regarding Water
Treatment Plant No 1, and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the City's Capital Project Management
Control System, the professional engineering firm of Black & Veatch has
been selected to provide such services
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized to enter
into an agreement with Black & Veatch for the provision of engineering
services, the major terms, conditions and scope of said services being more
particularly set out as follows, to-wit
1 The services to be performed shall be initiated within
10 days following the execution of said agreement
Services shall be completed no later than January 31,
1982
2 The engineer shall maintain public liability insurance
in the amount of $1,000,000 00, property damage insur-
ance in the amount of $500,000 00, and errors and
omissions insurance in the amount of $1 ,000,000 00
3 In consideration of the services to be performed,
the City agrees to pay the engineer on a time and direct
cost basis, plus an amount for expenses incurred and
paid by the engineer directly chargeable to the project
However, such services shall not exceed $150,000 00 in
cost
4 Scope of services include but are not limited to
Pilot evaluations, process control evaluations, and
complete plant facility investigations with findings to
be compiled in a final report to be completed no later

than January 31, 1982, in order that the design of
facility improvements can begin in 1982
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council held this
5th day of May, 1981
