EXPRESSING GRATITUDE OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
TO ARLEN R WILSON
FOR SERVICE AS ASSISTANT CITY MANAGER
WHEREAS, Mr Arlen R Wilson is a Foreign Service Officer of the
United States Government on loan to the City of Fort Collins through the
Pearson Program of the U S State Department, and
WHEREAS, Mr Arlen R Wilson has functioned for the past year as
Assistant City Manager to the City Manager, Mr John E Arnold of the City
of Fort Collins, distinguishing himself during that period, and
WHEREAS, Mr Arlen R Wilson has performed all assignments given him
with diligence, energy, perspective, and style, and
WHEREAS, Mr Arlen R Wilson's assignments have included coordination
and empRasis of the City's Energy Conservation Program, coordination and
development of the City's Cable Television Expertise, encouragement and
development of the City' s Affirmative Action Program, improvement of
internal communication mechanisms of the City, help in protection of
environmental concerns, coordination of intergovernmental relations between
City transit agencies, and a myriad of additional activities, and
WHEREAS, Mr Arlen R Wilson's ability to spontaneously assist in a
variety of unscheduled and unplanned areas demonstrates his innate intel-
ligence and professional training
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED
Section 1 That the City of Fort Collins acknowledges the exceptional
contribution of Mr Arlen R Wilson during the period of his service,
Section 2 That Mr Arlen R Wilson's approach, style, and person-
ality have endeared him to the hearts and minds of the people with whom
he's worked and come into contact,
Section 3 That Mr Arlen R Wilson's contributions have renewed the
confidence of staff and citizenry in the capability and judgment of Foreign
Service Officers in the employ and representation of the United States
Government,
Section 4 That Mr Arlen R Wilson's service to the City of Fort
Collins demonstrates the value of the Pearson Program to the people of
the United States,
Section 5 That the City of Fort Collins hereby offers this action as
an official resolution of commendation for meritorious service as a token
of our respect and appreciation to Mr Arlen R Wilson
