OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE
AND SUBMIT AN APPLICATION FOR A FEDERAL
OPERATING ASSISTANCE GRANT FOR TRANSFORT
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 18 of the Urban Mass Transportation Act
of 1964, as amended, both discretionary and non-discretionary funds are
available to the City of Fort Collins through a Federal operating assis-
tance grant for the year 1982, and
WHEREAS, upon the commitment of local matching funds in the amount of
One Hundred Thirty Seven Thousand Four Hundred and Sixty Seven Dollars
($137,467 ), a Federal grant for operating assistance for the year 1982 in
the amount of Three Hundred and Eight Thousand Five Hundred and Eighty Two
Dollars ($308,582 ) could be approved, and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Fort Collins has determined that
it is in the best interest of the City that a grant application requesting
funding in the amount of Three Hundred and Eight Thousand Five Hundred and
Eight Two Dollars ($308,582 ) , pursuant to Section 18 of the Urban Mass
Transportation Act of 1964, as amended, be executed by the City Manager
and submitted to the Urban Mass Transportation Administration
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the City Manager be, and hereby is, authorized to execute, on
behalf of the City of Fort Collins, an application for Federal operating
assistance for the year 1982, pursuant to Section 18 of the Urban Mass
Transportation Act of 1964, as amended, requesting the sum of $308,582 00
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of
Fort Collins held this 4th day of August , 1981
