OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE
AN AGREEMENT WITH PROSPECT LAND COMPANY FOR THE
EXCHANGE OF CERTAIN LANDS AND EASEMENTS ADJACENT
TO WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT NO 2
WHEREAS, the City is the owner of certain lands adjacent to Wastewater
Treatment Plant No 2, which lands are not used nor intended to be used for
municipal purposes, nor secured for the purpose of being used for municipal
purposes, and
WHEREAS, Prospect Land Company is the owner of certain lands adjacent
to and in the vicinity of Wastewater Treatment Plant No 2, which lands
would be useful to the City in connection with its handling and processing
of sludge, and
WHEREAS, it is hereby determined by the Council of the City of Fort
Collins that it is for the best interests of the City of Fort Collins that
approximately 16 23 acres presently owned by the City of Fort Collins be
exchanged to Prospect Land Company for approximately 19 43 acres of land
presently owned by Prospect Land Company, together with an easement across
certain other lands owned by Prospect Land Company, said easement for the
purpose of establishing the Fort Collins sludge transmission line
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the City Manager be, and hereby is, authorized to execute an
agreement with Prospect Land Company for the exchange of certain lands
adjacent to Wastewater Treatment Plant No 2 and for the granting of
an easement by Prospect Land Company to the City of Fort Collins for the
purpose of establishment of the Fort Collins sludge transmission line
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of
Fort Collins held this 4th day of August 1981
