RESOLUTION 82- 128
OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL
AGREEMENT WITH LARIMER COUNTY REGARDING PURCHASE
OF CERTAIN PROPERTIES IN BLOCK 31
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins and Larimer County have entered into
an intergovernmental agreement dated February 3 , 1981 , wherein the parties
agree to jointly acquire certain properties, as they become available,
located in Block 31 of the City of Fort Collins, and
WHEREAS, certain properties in Block 31 have become available for
acquisition, the owners thereof having volunteered to sell said properties
to the City and County, and
WHEREAS, the Council has heretofore authorized the Mayor to enter into
contracts to purchase said property, and
WHEREAS, said authorization was based upon a commitment received from
the County whereby the County agreed to participate in the cost of pur-
chasing said property, and
WHEREAS, the Council has determined that the execution of an inter-
governmental agreement, setting forth the terms of such acquisition is in
the best interests of the City
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the Mayor be, and he hereby is, authorized to execute an
intergovernmental agreement between the City of Fort Collins and Larimer
County which agreement shall provide for the purchase of properties legally
described as follows
A Lots Thirty-Three through Thirty-Seven inclusive,
Block Thirty-One in the City of Fort Collins, County
of Larimer, State of Colorado for the price of
$237,500 00
B The South 5 feet of Lot 27 , all of Lot 28 and the
North 10 feet of Lot 29 , in Block 31 , in the City
of Fort Collins, ALSO , the South 15 feet of Lot 29
and all of Lot 30 , in Block 31 , in the City of Fort
Collins, Larimer County, State of Colorado for the price
of $162,600 00
C The west fifty (50) feet of Lots Twenty (20) through
Twenty-Three (23) inclusive, Block Thirty-One (31) in
the City of Fort Collins, County of Larimer, State of
Colorado for the price of $51 ,000 00

D Lot 26, and the North 20 feet of Lot 27, Block 31, City
of Fort Collins, Colorado for the price of $117,700 00
E Lots Twenty-Four (24) and Twenty-Five (25) , Block
Thirty-One (31) , in the City of Fort Collins, County
of Larimer, State of Colorado, for the price of
$122,000 00
for an aggregate purchase price not to exceed six hundred ninety thousand
eight hundred dollars ($690,800 00) plus customary closing costs with the
City and County each to acquire an undivided one-half interest in said
properties and to share equally in the cost of purchase, including closing
costs, applicable consultant fees, appraisal fees, not including any costs
or fees excepted in that certain agreement between the parties dated
February 3, 1981
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of
Fort Collins, held this 5th day of October, 1982
