OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
APPROVING AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT TO BE
ENTERED INTO WITH THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAYS
ALLOCATING $176,760 OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS 1982-83
FEDERAL AID URBAN SYSTEMS (FAUS) MONEY TO THE
COMPUTER SYSTEM EXPANSION PROJECT
WHEREAS, the Division of Highways, State Department of Highways of the
State of Colorado is responsible for the administration of FAUS funds,
and
WHEREAS, authority exists in the law and funds have been budgeted,
appropriated and otherwise made available in the sum of One Hundred and
Seventy-Six Thousand Seven Hundred and Sixty Dollars ($176,760) for the
City of Fort Collins Computer System Expansion Project, and
WHEREAS, the City has submitted initial design data to the state
setting forth therein preliminary details, information and estimates of
cost of this work, which data has been approved by the State of Colorado,
and
WHEREAS, the funding for this FAUS project is one hundred percent
(100%) Federal aid for direct costs, and
WHEREAS, the City has estimated that the total cost of the work to be
done at One Hundred and Eighty Thousand Dollars ($180,000) , and is prepared
to proceed with the project with the understanding that all costs in ex-
cess of One Hundred Seventy-Six Thousand Seven Hundred and Sixty Dollars
(E176,760) shall be borne by the City, and
WHEREAS, the State of Colorado has presented a form of intergovern-
mental agreement to be entered into between the State Department of High-
ways and the City of Fort Collins for the purpose of accomplishing the
aforesaid work, and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Fort Collins does hereby determine
that it is in the best interests of the City that said intergovernmental
agreement be executed between the City and the State Department of Highways
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized to enter
into an intergovernmental agreement between the City of Fort Collins and
the State Department of Highways, Division of Highways of the State of
Colorado, for the purpose of preliminary engineering, utilities and the
purchase and installation of equipment to expand the capacity of the
existing computerized Master Traffic Controller and signal improvements at
various intersections in the City of Fort Collins upon the terms and
conditions as contained in said agreement
