HomeMy WebLinkAbout1983-197-11/15/1983-AUTHORIZING CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE COUNTY OF LARIMER FOR THE FUNDING OF VARIOUS NON-PROFIT AGENCIES FO r RESOLUTION 83- 197 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS AUTHORIZING CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE COUNTY OF LARIMER FOR THE FUNDING OF VARIOUS NON-PROFIT AGENCIES FOR SOCIAL SERVICES TO BE PROVIDED TO THE CITIZENS OF FORT COLLINS WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of Larimer County Colorado, hereafter called "County", annually contracts with various non-profit agencies to secure a wide variety of social services for the citizens of Larimer County, including the citizens of the City of Fort Collins, and WHEREAS, the agencies employed to provide such services are under the supervision of the Department of Human Development of Larimer County, which Department monitors compliance with such contracts and applicable project grant applications, and WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins, Colorado is consulted with regard to individual grant applications and annually determines which services can best benefit the citizens of Fort Collins and the amount of support which should be devoted to each NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS 1 That the sum of $125,418 00 shall be paid to the County as a contri- bution toward funding the following agencies for services to be provided in accordance with their approved Project Grant Applications Care-A-Van E 6,000 Colorado Rural Legal Services 2,210 Crisis Center 30,448 Crossroads 4,500 Handicap (Trans ) 5,000 Home Helps 17,000 Larico 4,950 Hospice 3,300 Larimer County Alcohol Services 8,000 Larimer County Bar Association 3,210 Loveland Resource Center/Women's Center 5,000 Neighbor to Neighbor 13,000 R S V P 4,000 Sunshine School 3,500 Thompson Valley Pre-School 500 United Day Care 11,000 Volunteer Clearing House 3,800 SI2T,TIS 2 That the sum of $18,407 00 shall be paid to the County as Fort Collins' contribution toward administrative services of the Department of Human Development 3 That acceptamce of such payment constitutes the County' s agreement that it will dutifully monitor and enforce its contracts with the aforesaid agencies, in accordance with their approved Project Grant Applications, and that any unexpended funds from such payment shall be forthwith returned to Fort Collins Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of Fort Collins held this 15th day of November, 1983 Ma o ATTEST City C re -- w a -2-
