OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A
LEASE AGREEMENT llITH LARIMER COMMUNITY SERVICES CORPORATION
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins recognizes the crucial roles human
services play in the quality of life in Fort Collins, and
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins recognizes that reduction of federal
funding requires each community to work together to provide cost effective
and efficient social services, and
WHEREAS, Larimer Community Services Corporation has worked to coor-
dinate a human services facility in Fort Collins, and
WHEREAS, a facility built to accomodate several agencies will offer
sharing of conference space, storage, kitchen and supplies, and
WHEREAS, such savings can be returned to the community in increased
savings, and
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins recognizes the opportunity to
participate in this important community effort
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized to execute a
lease with Larimer Community Services Corporation for approximately a three
and one-half (3 5) acre site in the Riverside Park for construction of its
human services facility The lease payment shall be One Dollar ($1 00) per
year The lease terms shall include a satisfactory relocation and con-
struction of the soccer field and other park improvements required due to
the construction
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of
Fort Collins held this 20th day of December, 1983
