OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
DIRECTING THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH THE FULL TEXT
OF THE PROPOSED CITIZEN INITIATED CHARTER AMENDMENT
TO SECTIONS 1, 2, 6 and 8 OF ARTICLE XVII
OF THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
WHEREAS, the City Clerk of the City of Fort Collins has received
petitions calling for placement on the March 8, 1983 ballot of a proposed
Charter amendment to Sections 1, 2, 6 and 8 of Article XVII of the Charter
of the City of Fort Collins, and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk of the City of Fort Collins has verified that
said petitions contain the requisite number of signatures to require that
said proposed citizen initiated Charter amendment be submitted to the
qualified electors at said election, and
WHEREAS, $31-2-210(4) , C R S 1973, as amended, provides that the full
text of a proposed Charter amendment be published with the notice of elec-
tion required to be published for the general election scheduled for March
8, 1983
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS
Section 1 That the City Clerk be, and hereby is, directed and
authorized to publish the full text of the proposed citizen initiated
Charter amendment in the notice of election for the general election
scheduled for March 8, 1983
Section 2 That the proposed citizen initiated Charter amendment
shall be submitted in the following ballot language at the general election
scheduled for March 8, 1983
CITIZEN INITIATED AMENDMENT
An amendment to Article XVII, Sections 1, 2, 6 and 8 of
the Charter providing that resolutions may be initiated
and shall be subject to the procedure for initiatives
FOR THE AMENDMENT
AGAINST THE AMENDMENT
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council held this
18th day of January, 1983
