HomeMy WebLinkAbout1983-026-02/01/1983-AUTHORIZING CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE COUNTY OF LARIMER FOR THE FUNDING OF VARIOUS NON-PROFIT AGENCIES FO RESOLUTION 83- 26 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS AUTHORIZING CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE COUNTY OF LARIMER FOR THE FUNDING OF VARIOUS NON-PROFIT AGENCIES FOR SOCIAL SERVICES TO BE PROVIDED TO THE CITIZENS OF FORT COLLINS WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of Larimer County Colorado, hereafter called "County" annually contracts with various non-profit agencies to secure a wide variety of social services for the citizens of Larimer County, including the citizens of the City of Fort Collins, and WHEREAS, the agencies employed to provide such services are under the supervision of the Department of Human Development of Larimer County, which Department monitors compliance with such contracts and applicable Project Grant Applications, and WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins, Colorado is consulted with regard to individual grant applications and annually determines which services can best benefit the citizens of Fort Collins and the amount of support which should be devoted to each NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS 1 That the sum of $114,068 00 shall be paid to County as a contribu- tion toward funding the following agencies for services to be provided in accordance with their approved Project Grant Applications Larimer County Association of Blind and Physically Handicapped $ 1 ,000 Crossroads 8,800 Crisis 8 Information Help Line 33,268 Neighbor to Neighbor 9,500 Retired Senior Volunteer Program 3,000 Respite Care 4,000 Sunshine School 2,500 United Day Care Center 8,200 Volunteers' Clearing House 5,000 The Women' s Center 4,000 Home Helps, Inc 15,000 Larimer County Alcohol Services 11,000 Lanco 5,800 Hospice 3,000 2 That the sum of $12,793 00 shall be paid to the County as Fort Collins' contribution toward administrative services of the Department of Human Development 3 That acceptance of such payment constitutes the County' s agreement that it will dutifully monitor and enforce its contracts with the aforesaid agencies, in accordance with their approved Project Grant Applications, and that any unexpended funds from such payment shall be forthwith returned to Fort Collins Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council held this 1st day of February, A D 1983 Mayor ATTEST City Lim -2-
