OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
CREATING AN ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY TECHNICAL
ADVISORY COMMITTEE (EQUATAC) AND AUTHORIZING
THE COUNCIL TO MAKE APPOINTMENTS THERETO
WHEREAS, on February 8, 1983, staff recommended to City Council that
an Environmental Quality Technical Advisory Committee (EQUATAC) be estab-
lished in the City of Fort Collins to help staff and Council analyze
various environmental issues, and
WHEREAS, after due consideration, Council determined that such commit-
tee would be most effective if, rather than consisting of a permanent
standing committee, the Council were permitted to appoint representatives
within specified areas of expertise to study certain environmental issues
as the need arose, and
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins is presently in need of investiga-
tion into air quality control
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS as follows
Section 1 That an environmental quality technical advisory commit-
tee, hereinafter to be known as EQUATAC be, and it hereby is, established
Section 2 That the Council of the City of Fort Collins be, and it
hereby is, vested with the authority to appoint representatives to said
committee as the need arises
Section 3 That the first issue to be investigated by said committee
is the issue of air quality in the City of Fort Collins and that the
Council be, and it hereby is, authorized to appoint such representatives to
the EQUATAC committee on air quality as have distinguished themselves in
the field of air quality control
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council held this
1st day of March, A D 1983
