HomeMy WebLinkAbout1983-053-03/15/1983-AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE LARIMER-WELD REGIONAL COUNCIL OF GO A RESOLUTION 83-53 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE LARIMER-WELD REGIONAL COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS (LWRCOG) FOR THE FUNDING OF THE DOWNTOWN TRAFFIC AND CIRCULATION STUDY WHEREAS, the Federal Government, pursuant to various federal statutes, has established guidelines which call for a continuing, comprehensive and cooperative transportation planning process to be conducted in each urban- ized area of the United States, and WHEREAS, the LWRCOG has been designated as a metropolitan planning organization to assume responsibilities to implement said transportation planning, and WHEREAS, the LWRCOG has authority to distribute Colorado Department of 41ghways Planning Funds to areas within its jurisdictions, and WHEREAS, the LWRCOG currently has Planning Funds available for use in the City, and WHEREAS, the City has determined a need to develop a Downtown Traffic and Circulation System Plan NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS that the City Manager is hereby authorized to, on behalf of the City, enter into an agreement with the LWRCOG to participate in the funding of the Downtown Traffic and Circulation Study Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of Fort Collins held this 15th day of March 1983 Mayor ATTEST City Clerk
