OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
MAKING FINDINGS AND URGING CERTAIN ACTION
WITH REGARD TO CONSTRUCTION OF AN INTERCHANGE
FROM I-25 TO THE PROPOSED A-B PLANT SITE
WHEREAS, in December of 1982, Larimer County Commissioners established
a priority list for the implementation of highway projects in Larimer
County, and
WHEREAS, said priority list does not consider the construction of an
interchange from I-25 to the Anheuser-Busch plant site, and
WHEREAS, it is understood that certain actions must be taken by
various governmental and private entities in order for the Colorado Highway
Commission to successfully consider the funding and construction of an
interstate interchange to be located near the proposed site for Anheuser-
Busch, and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the Council of the City of Fort Collins
that a realignment of the County's priority list to include the construc-
tion of an interchange from I-25 to the Anheuser-Busch plant site would
have a positive impact on the Colorado Highway Commission and its decision
to consider the funding and construction of said interchange
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS That the Council hereby finds and determines that it is in the best
interest of the City of Fort Collins, the County of Larimer, and the State
of Colorado for said County to realign its priority list for the implemen-
tation of highway projects to include the construction of an interchange
from I-25 to the proposed Anheuser-Busch plant site as a third priority
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that pursuant to the aforementioned findings,
the Council of the City of Fort Collins hereby urges the County Commis-
sioners of Larimer County to reconsider the existing priority list and
amend said list to include construction of an interstate interchange at the
aforementioned location as a third priority
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of
Fort Collins held this 5th day of April , 1983
