OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING CITY MANAGER TO
ENTER INTO AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL
AGREEMENT WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAYS
OF THE STATE OF COLORADO CONCERNING
IMPLEMENTATION OF A COMPREHENSIVE
TRAFFIC SAFETY PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the State of Colorado desires to implement a Comprehensive
Traffic Safety Program to reduce traffic crashes throughou,: the state,
and
WHEREAS, the implementation of Police Traffic Services in Fort Collins
will support the Colorado Traffic Safety Program and reduce crash exper-
ience in Fort Collins, and
WHEREAS, the Police Department of the City of Fort Collins desires to
participate in the implementation of the Comprehensive Traffic Safety
Program in the State of Colorado, and
WHEREAS, by entering into this agreement, the City of Fort Collins
will receive financial assistance for the purchase of a police motorcycle,
radar unit, and additional equipment
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS, that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized to enter
into an intergovernmental agreement with the State of Colorado, Department
of Highways for the purpose of providing financial assistance to the City
of Fort Collins in the purchase of a police motorcycle, radar unit, and
additional equipment to be utilized in the Comprehensive Traffic Safety
Program of the State of Colorado
Pawed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City unci1 held this
