OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF CERTAIN LANDS AND THE
GRANTING OF CERTAIN EASEMENTS TO
PLATTE RIVER POWER AUTHORITY
WHEREAS, in connection with the construction of the Rawhide Power
Plant, Platte River Power Authority has determined that it is necessary to
negotiate with the City of Fort Collins for the acquisition of certain
properties presently owned by the City for the purpose of construction and
operation of a water pumping station and related pipelines and facilities,
and
WHEREAS, in connection with the construction of the aforementioned
pumping station, pipelines and related facilities, it will also be neces-
sary for Platte River Power Authority to acquire certain easements over,
across and under property presently owned by the City of Fort Collins,
and
WHEREAS, in the considered opinion of the Council of the City of Fort
Collins, the sum of Ten Thousand Six Hundred Dollars ($10,600 00) repre-
sents fair and equitable value for the acquisition of the necessary
property and easements, and
WHEREAS, said property and easements can be conveyed to Platte River
Power Authority without jeopardy to City interests aor activities
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the Mayor and City Clerk be, and they hereby are, authorized
and directed to convey to Platte River Power Authority for the sum of Ten
Thousand Six Hundred Dollars ($10,600 00), the real property as described
in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and the easements as described in Exhibits
"B" and "C" attached hereto, provided that if Platte River Power Authority
should cease to be used for the delivery of water to the Rawhide Power
Plant, then the property shall revert to the City or its successor
