OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
APPROVING AN AGREEMENT EXTENDING AND MODIFYING
A LEASE BETWEEN CHARLES BISHOPP, AS TRUSTEE FOR
THE CITIES OF FORT COLLINS AND GREELEY, AND
JESSE C GREER AND VIRLON G PARhER
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins and the City of Greeley are the
owners of certain real property known as the Rockwell Ranch, and,
WHEREAS, said Rockwell Ranch is leased to Jesse C Greer and Virlon G
Parker for a term expiring on April 1, 1981, and
WHEREAS, it is desirable to extend the existing lease for an addition-
al one-year term, with subsequent automatic extension each year for two
additional years, and the present lessees have offered to continue the
lease arrangement for such additional term upon the same terms and condi-
tions as contained in the original lease, plus provisions to protect water
rights and to accommodate future exchanges, and
WHEREAS, in the opinion of the Council of the City of Fort Collins it
is to the best advantage of the City to extend the existing lease for an
additional one-year period with subsequent automatic extension, if desired
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the City hereby approves the extension and modification of the
present lease for the Rockwell Ranch with the sane terms and conditions as
contained in the existing lease with provisions to protect existing water
rights and to accommodate a possible future exchange of portions of the
Rockwell Ranch with the United States Forest Service, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk be, and they
hereby are, authorized and directed to execute a consent to such an exten-
sion and modification of the lease for and on behalf of the City of Fort
Collins
