OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS , COLORADO
APPROVING AN AUTOMATIC AID AGREEMENT
FOR FIRE SERVICES BETWEEN
THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS, COLORADO AND THE
POUDRE VALLEY RURAL FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT
WHEREAS, it has been determined that the response time
to a fire or rescue emergency may be significantly reduced
within designated areas of the greater Fort Collins metro-
politan area by the entering into an agreement with the Poudre
Valley Rural Fire Protection District calling for automatic
assistance by either the City of Fort Collins Fire Department
or the Poudre Valley Rural Fire Protection District, and,
WHEREAS, the exchange of services contemplated under
this agreement are authorized by Section 29-5-105 through
Section 29-5-109, C.R.S , 1973, and,
WHEREAS, it is the determination of the Council of the
City of Fort Collins that the entry into such an agreement is
in the interest of the citizens of Fort Collins
NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the above premises,
the Council hereby approves the automatic aid agreement for
fire services with Poudre Valley Rural Fire Protection Dis-
trict and authorizes and directs the City Manager and Fire
Chief to sign said agreement on behalf of the City of Fort
Collins.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City
