MMMAS, the City of Fart Collins and the City of- laveley, are the
owners of certain real property known as The Rockwell Ranch: and
FMtEAS, said Rockwell Ranch was leased to Jesse C. Comer and Virlen
G. Parker, but the previous lease expired on April 1, 1978; and
Fff�AS, it is hirable to extend the existing lease for an additional
sae-year term, and the present lessees have offered to continue the lease
arrangement for such additional tern under the same terns and o01-Altzons
as provided in the original lease; and
MME S, in the opinion of the Council of the City of Fort Collins,
it is to the best advantage of the City to extend the existing lease for
an additional one-year period.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESMVED BY THE CQRaCIL CF THE cny CF FCRT
COLLINS that the City hereby approves the extension of the present lease
for the Rockwell Ranch with the present lessees in accordance with the terns
of extension presented to Council with the same terns and conditions as
the existing lease but with provisions to protect existing ditch and water
rights of the Ibcawell Ranch and to accamcdate a possible future exchange
of porta=m of the Rockwell Ranch with the Muted States Forest Service;
and
BE IT FLUIM RESMVED that the Mayor and City Clerk be and they
hereby are authorized and directed to execute a consent to such an extenr
sun of the lease for and on behalf of the City of Fort Collins.
Passed and adapted at a regular me of the City Council held with
18th day of April, 1978.
