OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE CITY TO ENTER INTO A LEASE AND
INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT IIITH LARIMER COUNTY
AND PROVIDING FOR THE COUNTY' S USE OF THE MUNICIPAL JAIL
WHEREAS, heretofore, the City did enter into a lease agreement with Larimer
County under the terms of which the City leased the County the old Municipal Jail
for utilization by the County as a Juvenile holdino facility, and
WHEREAS, said agreement has expired and the County desires to continue to
utilize the old Municipal Jail for detention Durposes , and
WHEREAS, the County has indicated it is prepared to operate and staff said
facility, and
WHEREAS, the old Municipal Jail is no lonqer needed for any municipal pur-
pose since City prisoners ate now incarcerated at the Larimer County Jail
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
that the City Manaqer be, and he hereby is , authorized and directed to enter into
a three (3) year lease agreement with Larimer County under the terms of which the
County would staff and operate that certain facility known as the old Municipal
Jail as a supplemental facility to the Larimer County Jail
Passed and adopted at an adjourned meeting of the Council of the City of
Fort Collins held this 1'5th—day—of—January,A—D 1980—
