AUTHORIZING THE CITY TO GRANT A LICENSE TO THE
PLATTE RIVER PMER AUTHORITY FOR THE PURPOSE OF
OPERATING, h1AINTAININC, REPAIRING, AND REPLALII,G
CERTAIN TRANShISSION FACILITIES
I,HEREAS, the City of Fort Collins entered into an agreement with the
Platte River Power Authority on SeptPnioer 5, 1974, pursuant to which the
Platte River Power Authority is obligated to sell aria deliver to tfie City,
and the City is obligated to purchase and receive from Platte River, all
electric porter and energy whicf tire City shall require for tree operation of
its municipal electric syster., and
WHEREAS, the City owns certain 115 kV transmission facilities and
desires to grant a revocable license to Platte River for the purpose of
operating, maintaining and repairing cnd replacing said facilities for the
benefit of the City and other cities supplied by Platte River in the
interests of econoiiy, reliability and coordinated operation thereof,
and
WHEREAS, Platte River and the City desire to continue to coope-ate in
long-term arranqements for the planninc, of future 115 kV electric transmis-
sion facilities necessary for coordinated system operations as yell as the
delivery of power and eneray to the City and other cities supplied by
Platte Piver, arid
WHEREAS, Platte 'Diver is desirJUS of being granted said annual revoc-
able license for the pi,rpose of operating, maint -iirinq, repairinq and
replacing said facilities
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the City shall grant to the Platte River Power Authority an
annual revocable license for the purpose of operating, maintaining, re-
pairinq aria replacinq certain 115 kV transmission facilities
Passed and adopted at a reguldr meeting of the Council of the City of
Fort Collins neld this 19th day of February , 1930 ,
