OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE CITY TO LEASE CERTAIN CITY
OWNED AGRICULTURAL PROPERTY TO LEROY J SCHNEIDER
FOR A PERIOD OF ONE YEAR
WHEREAS, the City owns and maintains a section of land located at the
southwest corner of the intersection of Interstate 25 and Prospect Road,
said property being utilized for a sludge farm, and
WHEREAS, Leroy J Schneider, the present tenant on said property, has
requested permission to continue utilizing a portion of said property for
farming purposes, and
WHEREAS, insofar as the continued utilization for said property for
farming purposes is compatible with the primary utilization of said proper-
ty for sludge farm purposes, no detriment will be sustained by the City by
virtue of the proposed lease
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS as follows
Section 1 That the City flanager be, and he hereby is, authorized and
directed to enter into a renewable one-year lease agreement for a total
of three hundred twenty (320) acres of property located at the City sludge
farm with Leroy J Schneider for an annual consideration of one quarter of
the value of any sugar beet crop plus one third of the value of all other
crops
Section 2 That the term of this lease agreement shall be auto-
matically extended for successive one-year terms unless notice of termina-
tion is given by either party to the agreement at least thirty (30) days
prior to the scheduled expiration date
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City ouncil held
this 1st day of April A D 98
