OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE CITY TO ENTER INTO A ONE YEAR
INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH POUDRE VALLEY
HOSPITAL DISTRICT FOR TELECOMMUNICATION SEPVICES
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins operates the Fort Collins Communica-
tions Center and provides high quality dispatching services to a number of
governmental agencies within the Fort Collins area, and
WHEREAS, the Hospital District provides paramedical , EMT, and ambu-
lance services ooth within and surrounding the Hospital District, all of
which require dispatching capabilities, and
WHEREAS, the consolidation of dispatching functions within the Fort
Collins area avoids the duplication of services and results in increased
efficiency and greater coordination of service between different emergency
agencies within the Fort Collins area, and
WHEREAS, in the considered opinion of the Council of the City of Fort
Collins it is appropriate that the City enter into an intergovernmental
agreement with Poudre Valley Hospital District, under the terms of which
the City would provide certain designated telecommunications services
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY ThE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the City Manaqer be, and he hereby is, authorized and directed
to enter into a one year agreement with Poudre Valley Hospital District
under the terms of which the City would provide certain specified telecom-
munications services at a total fee of Twelve Thousand Three Hundred Seven
Dollars ($12,307 00)
Passed and adopted at a reqular meeting of the Council of the City
of Fort Collins held this 15th day Za'O4
