ADOPTING ZERO INTEREST LOAN PROGRAM FOR
ENERGY CONSERVATION
WHEREAS, a pilot "Zero Interest Loan Program for Energy Conservation"
has been developed as a part of the city-wide energy program, and
WHEREAS, Federal revenue sharing funds can be set aside and utilized
for said loan program in the initial amount of $50,000 00, and
WHEREAS, said funds would be used to finance the installation of
energy conservation devices in existing homes, and
WHEREAS, said installation can appropriately be financed through zero
interest loans with specific repayment terms and secured by liens against
the improved property, and
WHEREAS, the installation of said improvements will be of general
benefit to the community
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the "Zero Interest Loan Program for Energy Conservation" be,
and the same hereby is, approved and adopted
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the C1ty Council held this
2nd day of September 1980
