OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT
OF SALE AND PURCHASE FOR PROPERTY LOCATED
IN HUNTINGTON HILLS TO BE DEVELOPED AS A
COMMUNITY PARK
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Fort Collins supports the enhance-
ment of the quality of life of citizens of the City of Fort Collins,
and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the establishment of a
community park in the Huntington Hills development would serve to enhance
the quality of life of City residents, and
WHEREAS, there is available for such purpose a 99 5 acre site at
said location, and
WHEREAS, the owners of the Huntington Hills Development are willing to
convey such land (and appurtenant water rights) to the City for a total
price of Nine Hundred Twenty-Six Thousand Dollars ($926,000) , and
WHEREAS, funds for the aforesaid purchase have been appropriated in
the Parks and Recreation budget, and
WHEREAS, it has been determined by the City Council that said purchase
is in the best interest of the citizens of the City of Fort Collins
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized to enter
into an agreement for the purchase by the City of a 99 5 acre site located
within Huntington Hills development, said site to be purchased for a total
of Nine Hundred Twenty-Six Thousand Dollars ($926,000) to be paid as fol-
lows
$706,450 will be paid in cash at the time of closing
with the remaining $219,550 to be paid with City of
Fort Collins water certificates, said payment to be
made to the vested owners of said site, which owners
shall convey said property to the City in fee simple
absolute, and free and clear of all liens and encum-
brances
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of
Fort Collins held this 19th day of Januar , 1982
