OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A LEASE AND
SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH ELSIE SCHNEIDER,
GARY SCHNEIDER AND GLEN SCHNEIDER
WHEREAS, Elsie Schneider, Gary Schneider and Glen Schneider (The
Schneiders) have, for many years, farmed and operated the "Moore Farm" , now
owned by the City for sludge disposal , and
WHEREAS, during the 1982 crop season, farm operations will be cur-
tailed because of installation of the sludge application system, which
installation will cause extensive disturbance of the farm lands , and
WHEREAS, the City desires to engage the continued services of the
Schneiders in connection with the operation and maintenance of the sludge
farm, and desires to adequately compensate the Schneiders therefor, and
WHEREAS, the City further desires to engage in the services of the
Schneiders in connection with the operation of more general functions of
the City wastewater utility, including sludge hauling and other services
related thereto
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS, that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized to execute
a lease and services agreement with Elsie Schneider, Gary Schneider, and
Glen Schneider, engaging the services of the Schneiders in the operation
and maintenance of the City sludge farm and related activities of the
wastewater utility for a term commencing on February 17, 1982 and termi-
nating February 28, 1983, and for a total compensation of $24,000, unless
extended or amended by mutual agreement of the parties and upon such
other specific terms and conditions as may be deemed appropriate by the
Schneiders and the City administration
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council held this
16th day of February, A D 1982
