RESOLUTION 82-29
OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SELL A PARCEL OF
LAND KNOWN AS THE TRIANGLE PROPERTY
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins presently owns a tract of land known
as the Triangle Property, as is more particularly described below, and
WHEREAS, said property is not used or intended to be used for munici-
pal purposes nor was said land secured for the purpose of being used for
municipal purposes, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 26-1 of the Code of the City of Fort
Collins the City Council is authorized to sell and dispose of real estate
owned by the City of Fort Collins, and
WHEREAS, Fort Collins Newspaper, Inc wishes to purchase said property
at fair market value, and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of Fort Collins that
said property be sold
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the Mayor be, and he hereby is, authorized to sell on behalf
of the City of Fort Collins that certain property known as the Triangle
Property, more particularly described as follows to wit
A tract of land located in the Northwest 1/4 of Section
18, Township 7 North, Range 68 West of the 6th Princi-
pal Meridian, City of Fort Collins, County of Larimer,
State of Colorado, more particularly described as
follows considering the Northeast line of the River-
side Subdivision, 2nd Filing (a plat of record in the
Larimer County Clerk and Recorder' s Office) as bearing
N 61°35' W with all bearings contained herein relative
thereto Commencing at the Northeast corner of Lot 3
of said Subdivision, monumented by a No 4 rebar with
plastic cap #1650, Thence, continuing along the North-
east line, N 61035' W, 483 19 feet to the True Point of
Beginning, (said point being the Northeast corner of
Lot 1 of the Riverside 2nd Filing) , Thence West 41 40
feet to the P C of a curve, concave to the Southwest,
having a radius of 613 32 feet, a central angle of
40 45' 43" , a long chord of 50 96 feet which bears N
38° 50' 21" W, Thence along the arc of said curve 50 97
feet, Thence S 610 35' E, 83 41 feet to the True Point
of Beginning Said tract contains 822 719 square
feet
to Fort Collins Newspaper, Inc at a cost of $4 50 per square foot or
$3,700 00 (822 719 sq ft X $4 50) , said cost being fair market value of
said property
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of
Fort Collins held this 16th day of Pabx u a r 1982
