OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO PROCURE THE
SERVICES OF REID BURTON CONSTRUCTION COMPANY
WITHOUT FOLLOWING NORMAL BIDDING PROCEDURES,
FOR THE PURPOSE OF CORRECTING THE HEALTH AND
SAFETY HAZARDS AT THE CITY"S INDOOR POOL
WHEREAS, there currently exists hazardous conditions at the indoor
pool in the City of Fort Collins, and
WHEREAS , it is in the best interests of the citizens of the City of
Fort Collins to correct said hazardous conditions as soon as possible,
and
WHEREAS, §2-60(A) of the Code of the City of Fort Collins allows the
Purchasing Agent to negotiate certain purchases or services where it is
not practical to secure the same by formal bid procedure, and
WHEREAS, the Reid Burton Construction Company is available to provide
the necessary services immediately
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized to procure
the services of the Reid Burton Contstruction Company at a cost of
$50,066 00 without following the normal bid procedure for the purpose
of correcting health and safety hazards at the indoor pool
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of
Fort Collins held this 16th day of February, 1982
