OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT
WITH ARIX, INC FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
FOR THE PRELIMINARY DESIGN OF NORTH COLLEGE
AVENUE FROM JEFFERSON STREET TO STATE HIGHWAY
WHEREAS, that portion of North College Avenue from the northern
boundary of the downtown area to the "Y" near Terry Lake experiences
traffic congestion due to increasing traffic pressure, and
WHEREAS, there is a need for preliminary design work to provide a
planning guide of this area for the future, and
WHEREAS, in following the City' s formal selection process, the firm of
ARIX, Inc has been determined to have the best proposal for said prelim-
inary design work
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized to enter
into an agreement with ARIX, Inc for professional services for the pre-
liminary design of North College Avenue from Jefferson Street to the State
Highway, said agreement to include the following terms to wit In consider-
ation for a fee of Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars ($25,000) ARIX, Inc shall
provide to the City preliminary design plans, preliminary right-of-way
plans, and a study report that will provide quidance to the City in estab-
lishing requirements for needed right-of-way and construction of required
improvements in the area of North College Avenue from the northern boundary
of the downtown area to the "Y" near Terry Lake ARIX, Inc further agrees
to provide monthly reports, public contact, and field surveys as are
necessary to satisfactorily complete services All services rendered
pursuant to the contract shall be completed no later than July 31, 1982
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of
Fort Collins held this 6th day of April , 1g82
