OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO
AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE
OF COLORADO, BOARD OF LAND COMMISSIONERS, FOR
THE LEASE OF PROPERTY IN THE COLORADO STATE FOREST
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins Water Utility maintains facilities
at the Joe Wright Reservoir and Michigan Ditch in Larimer County, and
WHEREAS, the present methods of communication with personnel located
at said facilities is inadequate, expensive, and creates a potentially
hazardous situation, and
WHEREAS, the City desires to construct a remote solar radio relay
facility on Diamond Peak in the Colorado State Forest to improve communi-
cations with said facilities, and
WHEREAS, the State of Colorado, by and through the State Board of Land
Commissioners, owns and manages the proposed radio site in the Colorado
State Forest, and
WHEREAS, the City desires to enter into a lease with the State of
Colorado, by and through the State Board of Land Commissioners, to con-
struct and operate the remote solar radio relay facility
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the City Manager, be and hereby is, authorized to enter into
an intergovernmental agreement with the State of Colorado, by and through
the State Board of Land Commissioners, for the purpose of leasing a parcel
of real property near Diamond Peak in the Colorado State Forest for the
purpose of constructing and operating a remote solar radio relay facility
In consideration for the leasing of said property, the users, City of Fort
Collins and Associated Communications shall each pay $100 to the State
Board of Land Commissioners
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of
Fort Collins held this 20th day of April , A D 1982
