HomeMy WebLinkAbout1982-057-05/04/1982-AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH LARIMER COUNTY FOR US RESOLUTION 82-57 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH LARIMER COUNTY FOR USE OF THE COUNTY'S COMMUNICATIONS SITE AND THE MICROWAVE LINK WITH THE COURTHOUSE WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins Water Utility maintains facilities at the Joe Wright Reservoir and Michigan Ditch in Larimer County, and WHEREAS, the present methods of communications with City personnel located at said facilities is inadequate, expensive and creates a poten- tially hazardous situation, and WHEREAS, the County plans to establish a microwave controlled communi- cations site atop Deadman Mountain in Jackson County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, the City has determined that a microwave linkage with the aforesaid communications site would he beneficial to the residents of the City for the purpose of communication with City personnel , agents and representatives in the operation of its watershed NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized to enter into an intergovernmental agreement with Larimer County, by and through the Board of Commissioners of Larimer County, for the use of Larimer County' s communications site on Deadman Mountain and a joint microwave link with the Larimer County Courthouse, and for the sharing of expenses therefor, all as established in said Agreement Passed and adopted at a regular meeting this 4th day of May, 1982 ATTEST Mayo .:ZVkft U-0 AR City Clerk
