OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF EQUIPMENT AND
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EFFECTUATE
THE PURCHASE OF TRAFFIC CONTROLLERS FOR
COMPUTERIZED MASTER TRAFFIC CONTROL SYSTEM
WHEREAS, Multisonics System Controllers are currently in use at 16
locations within the City of Fort Collins, and
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Department of the City has researched the
matter and found no other system to be compatible with the City' s present
system, and
WHEREAS, the City wishes to purchase additional traffic controllers,
and
WHEREAS, Section 2-60 (A) (4) of the Code of the City of Fort Collins
allows the Purchasing Agent to negotiate for the purchase of an item
based on particular individual usage or professional advice without use of
the formal bid procedure
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the City Council hereby approves the purchase of the following
equipment to-wit
1) Multisonics System Controllers at a cost of $74,790 during
the year 1982 and
2) Other Multisonic System Controllers which may be needed in
the next two years and for which funds are budqeted
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager be, and he hereby
is, authorized to effectuate said purchase
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of
Fort Collins held this 1st day of June, 1982
