OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT FOR
THE LEASE OF PROPERTY AT THE LOVELAND/FORT COLLINS AIRPORT
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins and the City of Loveland are owners
of the Loveland/Fort Collins Municipal Airport, and
WHEREAS, the airport property consists of a substantial amount of
agricultural land which would otherwise lie fallow, and
WHEREAS, the proposed Lessee, Bishopp Farms, desires to enter into a
Lease Agreement with the City of Fort Collins and the City of Loveland
which provides for the agricultural use of land at the Loveland/Fort
Collins Municipal Airport, and
WHEREAS, the Lessee agrees to pay the Lessor's thirty-five percent
(35%) of the gross proceeds from all crops grown on said leased premises,
and
WHEREAS, the Lessee agrees to allow additional construction of neces-
sary facilities on the premises and accept reasonable compensation for any
damages resulting therefrom, and
WHEREAS, the Lessee agrees to use its best efforts in cultivating the
land and maintaining it in an arable condition
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the Mayor of the City of Fort Collins be, and hereby is
authorized to enter into a Lease Agreement with Bishopp Farms for the
purpose of leasing agricultural land on the premises of the Loveland/Fort
Collins Municipal Airport
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of
