OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
ENDORSING THE MAKING OF CONTRIBUTIONS AND
CONTRIBUTIONS IN KIND FOR THE PURPOSE OF
PROMOTING A CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT IN THE
STATE OF COLORADO AUTHORIZING A STATE LOTTERY
WHEREAS, by Resolution 80-110, the Council of the City of Fort Collins
endorsed Proposition No 2, a proposed amendment to the Colorado State
Constitution authorizing a state lottery, to be voted upon in the general
election of November 4, 1980, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Fort Collins wishes to
authorize the making of contributions or contributions in kind for the
purpose of promoting the passage of Proposition No 2 as aforesaid, and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Fort Collins does hereby find that
the issues encompassed in said Proposition No 2 are an official concern to
the City of Fort Collins, and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Fort Collins desires to promote
the enactment of said Proposition No 2 by direct mailings, distribution of
information, and the posting of signs at various municipal recreation
facilities
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the City Council of the City of Fort Collins does hereby
authorize the making of contributions or contributions in kind for the
purpose of encouraging the enactment of Proposition No 2, which proposi-
tion is a matter of official concern to the City of Fort Collins, said
proposition to be voted upon in the general election of November 4, 1980
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of
Fort Collins held this 21st day of October, 80
