OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO
AN AGREEMENT WITH THE NBLIC SERVICE COMPANY OF COLORADO
FOR THE PURCHASE OF 6 18 MILES OF POWERLINE
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Facilities Transfer Agreement between the
City and Poudre Valley REA, it is necessary for the City to provide elec-
trical service to existing and new developments in the recently annexed
lands in the Urban Growth Area, south of Harmony Road and west of College
Avenue, and
WHEREAS, provision of electrical service to said areas would be
possible upon acquisition by the City of an existing 44kv electric trans-
mission line currentlg owned by the Public Service Company of Colorado,
and
WHEREAS, in consideration for payment of Sixty-Nine Thousand One
Hundred and Eight Dollars and Eighty-Four Cents ($69,108 84) the Public
Service Company of Colorado would sell to the City said existing 44kv
electric transmission line, and
WHEREAS, the City has available in its 1983 budget, the funds neces-
sary to purchase said electric transmission line
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized to enter
into an agreement with the Public Service Company of Colorado for the
purchase of 6 18 miles of an existing 44kv electric transmission line
located east of and immediately adjacent to the Burlington Northern Rail-
road from a point at Prospect Street to a point one mile south of Trilby
Road In consideration for the conveyance of said transmission line, the
City is authorized to pay to the Public Service Company of Colorado the sum
of Sixty-Nine Thousand One Hundred and Eight Dollars and Eighty-Four Cents
($69,108 84)
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council held this
3rd day of May, A D 1983
