STATING THE INTENTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
TO DEVELOP AND IMPLEMENT A PROGRAM FOR
SOLICITING CITIZEN INVOLVEMENT AND PARTICIPATION
IN FORMULATING A CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS PROGRAM

WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes that capital improvements are
necessary and beneficial to the physical , social and economic well-being of
the community, and
WHEREAS, the City Council believes that the citizens of the community
should be invited and encouraged to participate actively in the formulation
of the program of caq}tal improvements and the means to finance such a
program
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS, COLORADO
Section 1 That the Council hereby declares its support for Project
Recap, being a method for soliciting the involvement of the community in
the formulation of a program of capital improvements for the future
Section 2 That the Council requests and encourages all citizens in
the community to bring forth their ideas for capital improvement needs,
such as streets, parks, facilities, etc , and also recommendations on the
means to fund such improvements for consideration by the community
Section 3 That the Council directs the City staff to formulate, with
Council input, a variety of activities to seek out all points of view and
issues of concern relative to capital improvements from the citizens of the
community
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council held this
3rd day of May, A D 1983
