RESOLUTION 83- 91
OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
APPROVING REVISIONS TO THE INTERGOVERNMENTAL
AGREEMENT FOR THE FORT COLLINS URBAN GROWTH AREA,
AND ITS RELATED ELEMENTS, AND AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT WITH LARIMER COUNTY
WHEREAS, on April 29, 1980, the County of Larimer and the City of Fort
Collins entered into an Intergovernmental Agreement for the purpose of
establishing a formal mechanism to manage growth in the area surrounding
the City of Fort Collins, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, Section 7 of said Agreement provides for the annual review of
all elements of the Urban Growth Area program, and
WHEREAS, the staffs of Larimer County and the City of Fort Collins
have prepared a report presenting revisions to various elements of the
Urban Growth Area program, and
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins Planning and Zoning Board conducted
a public hearing on May 2, 1983, for the purpose of reviewing the proposed
revisions and soliciting public comment concerning the same, and voted to
recommend approval of the revisions to the City Council , and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Fort Collins conducted a public
hearing on May 17, 1983, for the purposes of reviewing the proposed revi-
sions and soliciting public comment concerning the same, and
WHEREAS, having heard the comments of the public and considered the
proposed revisions to said Agreement, the Council of the City of Fort
Collins does hereby find that said proposed revisions are in the best
interests of the citizens of the City, and, accordingly, ought to be
incorporated into said Intergovernmental Agreement
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the proposed revisions to various elements of the Urban Growth Area program as specifically presented in the report as prepared by the
staffs of Larimer County and the City of Fort Collins be, and hereby are,
approved, including those revisions to the Intergovernmental Agreement
between the City and the County executed April 29, 1980, together with all
of the various revisions to the elements thereof, more particularly,
revisions to the Urban Growth Area boundary, revisions to the Larimer
County Land Use Plan and revisions to the Larimer County Supplemental
Regulations, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor be, and he hereby is, authorized
to execute an amended Intergovernmental Agreement between the City and
Larimer County reflecting said revisions
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council held
this 21st day of June, A D 1983
