OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
APPROVING THE DOWNTOWN DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY'S
RECOMMENDATION FOR THE LOCATION OF A PUBLIC
PARKING STRUCTURE AT THE SOUTHEAST CORNER
OF MOUNTAIN AVENUE AND REMINGTON STREET
WHEREAS, the Fort Collins Downtown Development Authority has entered
into an Agreement with Old Town Associates to provide parking for 300 cars
in the vicinity of the Old Town Associates project for use by the general
public, and
WHEREAS, a committee composed of representatives from the Fort Collins
Downtown Development Authority, the City of Fort Collins, Fort Town, the
Fort Collins Parking Commission, and Old Town Associates was appointed to
examine how best to meet the terms of this Agreement, and
WHEREAS, this committee' s examination of the alternatives revealed a
specific location for a 300-car parking structure, which location is as
shown on Exhibit "A" attached hereto, and
WHEREAS, this location has been presented in a public hearing by the
committee and found to be acceptable, and
WHEREAS, the Fort Collins Downtown Development Authority has accepted
and approved the location recommended by the committee, and
WHEREAS, the Fort Collins Downtown Development Authority has recom-
mended approval of the location to the Council of the City of Fort Collins
in the Authority' s Resolution 83-11, and
WHEREAS, the Citykof Fort Collins Planning and Zoning Board has
reviewed the location and found it to be in conformance with the Downtown
Development Authority Plan of Development and the City of Fort Collins
Comprehensive Plan, and
WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins Planning and Zoning Board has
recommended to the Council of the City of Fort Collins its approval of the
location
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS, that the location of a public parking structure at the southeast
corner of Mountain Avenue and Remington Street, as shown on Exhibit "A"
attached hereto, is hereby approved
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council held this
7th day of June, A D 1983
