OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SUBMIT AN
APPLICATION AND EXECUTE A GRANT AGREEMENT FOR
A FEDERAL OPERATING ASSISTANCE GRANT FOR TRANSFORT
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 18 of the Urban Mass Transportation Act
of 1964, as amended, both discretionary and non-discretionary funds are —
available to the City of Fort Collins through a Federal operating assis-
tance grant for the year 1984, and
WHEREAS, upon the commitment of local matching funds in the amount of
Two Hundred Ninety-Thfee Thousand Seven Hundred and Seventy-Five Dollars
(E293,775) , a Federal grant for operating assistance for the year 1984 in
the amount of Five Hundred Eighty-Seven Thousand Five Hundred and Forty-
Nine Dollars ($587,549) could be approved, and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Fort Collins has determined that
it is in the best interest of the City that a grant application requesting
funding in the amount of Five Hundred Eighty-Seven Thousand Five Hundred
and Forty-Nine Dollars (E587,549) , pursuant to Section 18 of the Urban Mass
Transportation Act of 1964, as amended, be executed by the City Manager and
submitted to the Urban Mass Transportation Administration
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the City Manager be, and hereby is, authorized to execute, on
behalf of the City of Fort Collins, an application and grant agreement for
Federal operating assistance for the year 1984, pursuant to Section
18 of the Urban Mass Transportation Act of 1964, as amended, requesting the
sum of $587,549
Passed and adopted at a reqular meeting of the City Council held this
21st day of June, A D 1983
