OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
APPOINTING ED STONER TO FILL A VACANCY
AS COUNCILMEMBER REPRESENTING DISTRICT 4
ON THE FORT COLLINS CITY COUNCIL
WHEREAS, Councilmember Gary Cassell has resigned as a Counc,lmember
representing District 4 on the Fort Collins City Council effective August
1, 1983, and
WHEREAS, the Charter of the City of Fort Collins provides that the
City Council shall fill such vacancy by appointment within 30 days of such
vacancy, and
WHEREAS, the Council has carefully considered a number of applications
received from qualified City residents to fill such vacancy, and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to appoint Ed Stoner to fill
said vacancy on the Fort Collins City Council for the remain er of the
unexpired term of Counc,lmember Gary Cassell
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS as follows
That Ed Stoner be appointed to fill the unexpired term of Gary
Cassell as str,c representative on the Fort Collins City Council , said
term to run until an elected representative ,s seated following the March,
1985 General Municipal Election
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council held this
2nd day of August, A D 1983
