OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS
EXPRESSING GRATITUDE AND APPRECIATION TO
GARY CASSELL FOR HIS CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE
COMMUNITY AS COUNCILMEMBER
WHEREAS, Gary Cassell served as a Councilmember representing the
residents of Council District No 4 from April 14, 1981 until his resig-
nation on August 1, 1983, and
WHEREAS, Mr Cassell served as Assistant Mayor for the City of Fort
Collins from April 14, 1981 until April 6, 1982, and
WHEREAS, Mr Cassell also served as Mayor for the City of Fort Collins
from April 6, 1982 until April 12, 1983, and
WHEREAS, Mr Cassell has also contributed to this community through
his service on the Board of Directors of Platte River Power Authority, the
Council 's Board of Ethics, and the Council Finance Committee, and
WHEREAS, this period of time has seen great growth and change ,n the
City, and Gary Cassell was called upon to devote substantial time and
energy to the affairs of the City of Fort Collins, and
WHEREAS, the people of the City have benefitted greatly from the
services, counsel , and guidance of Gary Cassell
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT
COLLINS that the City express, on behalf of the residents of the community,
its formal and sincere appreciation and gratitude to Gary Cassell for his
devotion and attention to the affairs of the City as Councilmember,
Assistant Mayor, and Mayor
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council held this
