HomeMy WebLinkAbout1984-124-09/04/1984-ACCEPTING A GRANT FROM THE FEDERAL BRIDGE REHABILITATION AND REPLACEMENT PROGRAM FOR THE REPLACEMENT RESOLUTION 84- 124 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS ACCEPTING A GRANT FROM THE FEDERAL BRIDGE REHABILITATION AND REPLACEMENT PROGRAM FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF THE PROSPECT STREET BRIDGE OVER SPRING CREEK, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF COLORADO FOR ADMINISTRATION OF FUNDS WHEREAS, in the interest of the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of the City of Fort Collins, the City Council has determined that the Prospect Street bridge over Spring Creek should be replaced ; and WHEREAS, the estimated cost of the bridge replacement is Four Hundred and Fifty Thousand Dollars ($450,000) and funding is available in the sum of approximately Three Hundred and Sixty Thousand Dollars ($360,000) from the Federal Bridge Rehabilitation and Replacement Program; and WHEREAS, the Council has determined that the acceptance of such grant from said program is in the best interest of the citizens of the City of Fort Collins and that the City should enter into an agreement with the Highway Department of the State of Colorado for administration of said federal funds. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FORT COLLINS that a grant from the Federal Bridge Rehabilitation and Replacement Program in the approximate sum of Three Hundred and Sixty Thousand Dollars ($360,000) be, and hereby is , accepted by the City of Fort Collins ; and that the City Manager be, and he hereby is, authorized to enter into an agreement with the Department of Highways of the State of Colorado for administration of said funds.
